Until TechVi cancelled blog posts in November 2009, I wrote tech stories in short-form using other tech sites as sources of my information. You can see some of them here. During the time my writing skills improved dramatically from requiring many changes being made in the editing process to none or occasionally very small changes being made. This was a very valuable learning experience for myself and my writing skills improved many times over during the small period I wrote for TechVi.
When the TechVi video hosts and technical team went to CES 2010 in January 2010, myself and a few other TechVi contributors were left with the task of publishing the video content from TechVi onto the web site. I posted 22 videos during the event. This was a time critical time for TechVi where we must publish the videos as quickly as possible but with a great post to go with it so we can get the most viewers. Often I was awake much earlier than usual in order to be awake at the same time as the CES team were finishing for the day so we could check that everything was published.

Weekly Wrapup was a show written and hosted by Iyaz Akhtar and compiled by myself each week. The show took the top stories from the daily news show TechVi Now and put them into one show. I used Castfire to merge all of the different clips together and then posted it every Saturday for around two months on TechVi.com. I used a “show notes” system so viewers could skip to different parts of the video based on what topics they wanted to watch.
