Apple iPad – Impressions

I don’t own an iPad, but we’ve had one in the house since day 2 and occasionally I do use it.

Short version: I’m over it. I’d rather use a netbook.

Long version: Although the interface is good, it’s not a good productivity device. I can’t compare two web sites or watch a podcast whilst doing the blog which is annoying. The apps are nice, but again, I can only have one app open at once. With my netbook costing less than half of the price of the netbook and being able to do more, I find it a much better buy than the iPad.

The iPad is not a bad device, but the lack of physical keyboard and true multitasking is what makes the device unsuitable for me.
